Pot de Creme

Dan here today.  A few months ago, Beth went through a caramel phase.  I think it was around this time that she decided to make some pot de crème as well.  As you can tell from the name, pot de crème seems to be a French dessert.  I had never heard of it before, but it was a rich chocolate custard type of thing that was served in a ramekin.  The recipe is here, and it looks pretty complicated to make, but it seemed to turn out pretty well.  It was extremely rich but also smooth.  If I mentioned that it had bold flavor, I could almost make this a cigarette ad.  Anyway, that’s about all I have to say on the subject, and most of you are probably getting ready for the weekend and don’t want to read much more, so here are some pretty pictures.
