Hey everyone, Dan here today. When Beth and I retire and waste our life savings opening up a money-losing bed and breakfast that shows up on Kitchen Nightmares, I will be the savory chef and she will be the pastry chef. Still, I’ve been known to make a dessert from time to time. For Thanksgiving, I made a pumpkin cheesecake that was pretty well received, and a few months ago I made these S’mores bars, which were delicious, although they were a bit messy to eat. Perhaps it’s not a coincidence that both of these recipes originally came from Paula Deen, since it seems like putting enough butter and sugar into a recipe makes it very hard to screw up. (In related news, stay tuned for my next dessert post, where I describe how to prepare my patented sugar-coated buttersticks. Step 1: Take a stick of butter. Step 2: Roll it in sugar. Step 3: Enjoy. Step 4: Pass out from sugar shock or your arteries turning to butter.) Anyway, the recipe came to us in adapted form from a blog called Let’s Dish, so I have posted a link to it here. In the meantime please enjoy a few more pictures of the marshmallowy chocolatey goodness.
