Happy Halloween

I don’t know what happened but I was able to spend so much more time on my blog and photography a year ago.  I miss those days when I’d come home excited to take pictures.  Instead, I am trying to do some photography projects over the weekend.  Which is where this series came in.

I kinda totally love rice crispies treats and I thought I would try out this Halloween inspired treat.

I’m not a huge Halloween fan.  It seems like a waste to spend money on a costume.  I would be lying if I said that being overweight wasn’t part of it.  It’s not like I’m going to go sexy, but it’s super weird to not be sexy when pretty much every other girl is dressed sexy.  Did you hear that there are now sexy Sesame Street Costumes?  When did Halloween become a tart contest?

Um, so now I feel old!  Blergh.  I do love Halloween candy.  It’s nice that candy comes in smaller pieces (flavor without all of the calories!) The downside is that they come in super sized packs. I have managed only to buy one bag of candy corn and this rice crispies treat (both delicious).  Now that candy season has started again, I need to resist the temptation

One of the benefits for this holiday is that Dan and I live in a high-rise and so we don’t get trick or treaters.  I love the small sized candy but the temptation of eating one a minute would be too much for me!

Instead, Dan and I are going to Annissa and Mike’s house for their annual Halloween bash.  Can’t wait!  The theme is “what I wanted to be when I grew up” This is our second year going, and since they just moved into their house, I have a feeling that it will be more awesome this year!

Can you guess what we wanted to be when we grew up? What are you doing for Halloween? Are you dressing up?
