visiting home

There is a lot to love about living in Colorado, but there are a few things that I totally miss.  All of our families are on the East Coast (from Atlanta to Maine, but all are mostly in the mid-atlantic states).  And our families now include my baby niece Keira.  I hate not getting to spend real time with her and at this point I’ve only seen her twice :(

Isn’t she adorable :)

Melissa and I went to a new restaurant in Rockville that I’ve been hearing so much about.  It’s called Spice Crossing and it was delicious.  We split a Chickpea dish and a lamb apricot dish.

That picture is ugly so I should just add in another one of Keira for good measure.

It has been great to spend time with Dan’s family as well, although for some reason they won’t sit for a photo shoot like Keira…His parents did come to the race on Sunday and save the day by bringing Dan’s goggles!columbia-4

What an exciting weekend!

We are heading home tomorrow afternoon, and I have to tell you that I’m excited to leave all of this humidity!  GROSS.

Do you live close to family?
