Spaghetti with Shrimp and White Wine
Adapted from Everyday Food

  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 ounces pasta
  • 1 Tbsp butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • red-pepper flakes
  • 1/3 cup dry white wine
  • 1/4 lbs large shrimp
  • 1/2 tsp fresh lemon juice

Cook pasta according to directions.

Heat a small nonstick skillet over medium heat and add half of the butter.  Add garlic and red pepper flakes.  Cook for about a minute until it’s fragrant.
Raise the heat to medium-high and add the wine.  Reduce the mixture by 1/3.  This should also take about a minute.
Add the shrimp (peeled and deveined) and season with salt and pepper.  Cook the shrimp until they become opaque.

Remove the skillet from the heat and add the lemon juice and the rest of the butter.  Add the pasta and toss to combine.  Salt and pepper to taste.
