Ravioli with Brown Butter and Sage


This is another recipe that should be cut in half.  I had a full serving when we made this and it made me so unbelievably full.  Far too rich to eat the whole thing.  However, it is so amazing that it should be made, and shared.

Cheese Ravioli with Brown Butter and Sage

From Real Simple 

 

Ingredients:

  • 6 T butter
  • 1/4 c pine nuts
  • 1/3 c sage
  • 16 ounces of ravioli
  • salt and pepper

Instructions:

Make ravioli according to package instructions.

 

Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.  Add the pine nuts and sage and stir occasionally until the sage is crisp and the butter and pine nuts are browned.  This should take about 6-8 minutes.

 

Mix the sauce with the ravioli and season with salt and pepper.
