I decided yesterday that vitatops are NOT a good breakfast, or even a part of a breakfast. They are a sometimes treat to add to a meal with good amounts of protein. I spent the entire day STAAAAARRRRVVVIIIING. (you can start feeling bad for my hubby now) Dinner finally did the trick, but I believe a day not started right is difficult to stay on track.
I have to be better at breakfast. So, I decided to make a green monster. It was a toss up between the green monster and a Mix 1, but Mix 1s are very transportable, while green monsters are less so. So, my green monster won. Today's mix included:
- one and a half handfuls of spinach
- handful of frozen mango
- 1 banana
- 1 cup of milk
- 4 T flax
- 2 T chia seeds
- 458 calories, 73 carbs, 23g fiber, 21 g protein
I did add a straw to the mix today and I am drinking much more slowly.
Today's schedule is pretty open. I have a few things I want to work on around the house and I need to do my circuit training. Why do weekends go by so fast!
